Plans and billing

Free, Starter, Professional — caps, the trial, upgrades, payment methods, and cancellation.

The system has three plans: Free, Starter, and Professional. Every account starts with a 30-day free trial of Professional — no card up front. This article covers the plans, the trial, upgrades and downgrades, payment methods, and cancellation.

"Lifetime" means the running total since the workspace was created — not per month.

The 30-day trial

Every new account gets 30 days of the Professional plan, free. No credit card is required to start. During the trial you can use every feature exactly as a paying customer would.

When the trial ends, your account drops to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — properties, contracts, payments all stay. If you're over the Free caps (e.g. you added 5 properties during the trial), the overflow is locked: read-only, not deleted. Upgrade any time to unlock instantly.

[!info] Add a payment method before the trial ends if you want a smooth transition. The system will charge SAR 99 (Starter) or SAR 199 (Professional) on the day after your trial ends and switch you to that plan automatically. Without a method on file, you land on Free.

Upgrading

Open Settings → Billing → Change plan. Pick Starter or Professional, confirm the change, and add a payment method if you haven't yet. Tap Payments processes the first charge immediately (prorated for the rest of the current month).

Upgrades take effect immediately. Locked properties/units/workspaces unlock the moment the charge succeeds.

Downgrading

Same flow: Settings → Billing → Change plan. Pick the lower tier and confirm. The change is deferred to your next renewal date — you don't lose the time you've paid for.

On the day the downgrade takes effect, the system recomputes your usage against the new plan's caps. Anything over is locked (not deleted). For example, downgrading from Professional with 10 properties to Starter, all 10 stay accessible — Starter has unlimited properties. Downgrading from Starter (unlimited) to Free (cap 2), the third property onward locks.

Extras (Professional only)

If you need more than the 20 included users on Professional, or more than 5 workspaces, you can buy extras: SAR 10 per extra user per month, SAR 50 per extra workspace per month. Open Settings → Billing → Extras → Add.

[!warning] Extras are not for sale on Free or Starter. If you hit the user or workspace cap on a lower plan, upgrade — you can't add extras on top of a non-Professional plan.

Payment methods

Settings → Billing → Payment methods → Add. Tap Payments (a Saudi payment processor) handles the card or Mada flow. We don't store card numbers — Tap returns a token, and that's what the system uses for future charges.

If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds), the system retries over the next 72 hours, then drops you to the Free plan. You'll get email + in-app notifications at each retry. Re-add a valid method to restore your previous plan.

Cancelling

Settings → Billing → Cancel plan. You'll keep your paid plan until the end of the current billing period — you've already paid for it. After that, your account moves to Free. To come back, re-subscribe any time from the same page.

Cancelling doesn't delete anything. Your data stays as long as the workspace exists.

Invoices and receipts

Every charge generates an invoice. Settings → Billing → Invoices lists them all — download as PDF, forward to your accountant, attach to your books.
